Jared Goldfarb at CRC

CRC is honored to welcome interfaith and peace activist Jared Goldfarb as our Israel/Palestine Scholar-in-Residence for the final weekend of January. A gifted educator and longtime friend of CRC, Jared brings deep knowledge, warmth, and nuance to some of the most challenging and important conversations facing the Jewish community today.

This weekend is designed to be thoughtful, challenging, and compassionate—creating room for learning without erasing difference, and for connection without requiring consensus. This will be a unique opportunity that you won’t want to miss!

  • Friday, January 30 | 6:15 PM | Kabbalat Shabbat Services & Tu B’Shevat Seder — “Nature Knows No Boundaries”
    • During our combined Kabbalat Shabbat service and Tu B’Shevat seder, Jared will offer reflections connecting the natural world, environmental responsibility, and life in Israel.
  • Saturday, January 31 | 10:00 AM | Shabbat Morning Services — Chanting from Shirat HaYam and d’var Torah
    • D’Var Torah: Jared will offer a d’Var Torah during Shabbat morning services, helping to frame the themes of the weekend and the broader conversation around Israel/Palestine.
  • Saturday, January 31 | 12:15–2:30 PM | Shabbat Lunch & Learn — “Drawing Lines in the Sand”
    • Lunch & Learn: A deeper exploration of the current moment, grounded in shared facts, lived experiences, and multiple perspectives.
  • Sunday, February 1 | 10:00 AM–12:00 PM | Sunday Morning Learning — “From the River to the Sea… There Is Room for You and Me!”
    • A smaller, more intimate session for those who wish to go further—focused on dialogue, complexity, and possible paths forward.
