Sally Brown
Director of the Nest Early Childhood Center

Sally has been in the field of Early Childhood for over 35 years. She has a Masters in Education from Webster University with certification in early childhood, early childhood special education and elementary education. Though she is not a native to St. Louis, she has called it home throughout her career. Sally has held a variety of positions including developmental therapist for First Steps, classroom early childhood educator, Program Director, itinerant special educator and Adjunct Staff for local universities.

She has always been an advocate for children, families and educators. Sally strongly believes in the importance of quality care and education for infants and young children.

When not working she is a mom of two grown children and has two grandbaby dogs. Sally can’t wait for the time when she  is a grandmother. She volunteers within the community and is on a board of directors for a non-for profit agency. In her spare time Sally maintains and restores century homes including her own and her daughters. This is when she is able to apply the skills she learned when she was a crew leader for Habitat for Humanity. Sally loves hiking, walking and being outdoors and feels very fortunate to be a part of The Nest family.
