Jen has had the privilege of being part of the Central Reform Congregation team since 2011. Before her time at CRC, began her career as an intern for the St. Louis Rams in Corporate Communications and Community Outreach. After some creative freelance work with clients primarily in the beer industry, Jennifer made her way to the non-profit sector. Directly prior to CRC, Jennifer served as the Director of Community Relations for HavenHouse St. Louis, where she was responsible for fundraising, special events, public relations, community involvement and volunteers. During her time there, she started the Young Professionals Board, now a thriving arm of HavenHouse St. Louis.
The most rewarding work of her life to-date has been at CRC, putting compassion and listening at the heart of helping and connecting people. Jen has earned a reputation for bringing calm to any crisis and managing emergencies with composed purpose. Jen faces challenges with commitment and empathy. She values action, effort, learning, strategy, and adaptability. She is service-oriented, detail-astute, and big-picture driven. She has learned and demonstrated that kindness always matters. Jen’s colleagues and members at CRC continue to be some of her greatest teachers.
Jen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication & Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University, with minors in Geography and Hospitality Management. She is a 2017 graduate of Anti-Defamation League Glass Leadership Institute, a 2018 Millstone Fellow, and certified in Mental Health First Aid. She earned her certification as a Grief Support Specialist from University of Wisconsin-Madison in summer 2018. Jen and her husband are the proud parents of two incredible children.
