The Rocky Horror Purim Spiel was an absolute blast.
On Monday night, CRC transformed into Shushan with fishnets, feather boas, megillah mayhem, and more than a little dramatic flair. Our adults-only Purim celebration brought together irreverent humor, creative storytelling, and a whole lot of Jewish joy as we re-enacted the Megillah through the fabulous, over-the-top lens of The Rocky Horror Show.
From the moment we “jumped to the left,” the energy in the room was electric. Costumes were bold (and then bolder), the hamantaschen were plentiful, the cocktails and mocktails were flowing, and the laughter was nonstop. Audience participation? Let’s just say — no one needed much encouragement.
Beyond the fun and camp, there was something powerful about gathering as adults to celebrate Purim in a way that was playful, spirited, and unapologetically creative. It was a reminder that Jewish tradition has always made room for joy, satire, and a little holy chaos.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring this wild and wonderful evening to life — and to all who showed up ready to Time Warp their way through Shushan.
Until next year… 🎭🍸✨
