Virtual Passover Seder

Join us on Zoom as we gather in community at the end of Shabbat Pesach to celebrate a meaningful Virtual Passover Seder and Havdalah which once again tells our story of liberation. Throughout the evening, we will weave tradition, song, reflection, and CRC values into an interactive experience for all ages.
Prepare your own seder plate at home, pour a glass of wine or grape juice, and log on as we journey together from slavery to freedom — honoring the ancient story while lifting up the freedom struggles of our own time.
Families, individuals, and friends near and far are warmly welcome.
Registration is required. Zoom details will be sent upon registration.
Tune in with Rabbi Daniel Bogard as he leads this virtual Seder, guiding us through the story of the Exodus with the many prayers and blessings that accompany the journey.
Things You’ll Need For the Journey –
- Zeroa – roasted shank bone (symbolic of the Passover sacrifice)
- Beitzah – roasted egg (mourning and renewal)
- Maror – bitter herbs, often horseradish that remind us of the bitterness of enslavement
- Chazeret – second bitter herb, often romaine lettuce
- Charoset – sweet mixture of apples, nuts, wine and spices representing the mortar used by enslaved Israelites
- Karpas – green vegetable, usually parsley to signify the coming spring and renewal
- Matza, matza and more matza! Have at least three pieces placed in a matzah cover, and hide the afikomen to keep the kiddos engaged.
- Wine or grape juice – each participant drinks four cups during the Seder.
- Salt water for dipping karpas, symbolizing tears
- Extra plate and cup for Elijah
