We’ve learned that there is a great need for Clinic Escorts and Legal Clinic Observers so CRC’s Tikkun Olam Circle and the Ashrei Foundation are partnering with Pro-Choice Missouri to provide training for these essential volunteer opportunities.

For over 35 years NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri Foundation has facilitated the only Clinic Escort Program in the metro St. Louis area. The program is designed to counteract the anti-choice protesters that attempt to harass and shame patients entering and exiting abortion clinics. Volunteer clinic escorts walk patients into the clinics from their cars and vice versa as physical and emotional barriers to protesters. Legal Clinic Observers take on the vital task of observing and documenting protestor activities outside of the clinics.

Trainings required for each of these volunteer opportunities will take place at CRC. Light bites and refreshments offered during the program.

The evening’s schedule will be as follows:
5:30-7:30 Clinic Escort Training (2 hours)
7:30-7:45 Break
7:45-8:45 Legal Clinic Observer Training (1 hour)

All planning to complete the Legal Clinic Observer training must also complete the Clinic Escort Training.

Registration required to participate.
No previous experience needed.
All training session participants must be 18 years or older
