How do we, with all our diverse truths and experiences, engage the reality of Jewish sovereignty in the 21st century? How do we talk honestly about power, privilege, responsibility, and the moral complexities involved? We’ll lean into the Jewish value of machloket l’shem shamayim – sacred argument – not to win, but to understand, and to figure out how to stay in relationship even when we profoundly disagree. We’ll share an Israeli lunch together as we do this vital work.
