Thursday, May 15th, 8pm, near the CRC garden*

There is a Jewish holiday where it is a mitzvah to have a campfire? No, Rabbi Randy did not make this up! The 33rd day of the Omer period between Passover and Shavuot is known as Lag B’ Omer. It is the day said to be the yahrzeit of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, a 2nd-century scholar and mystic, said to be the author of the Zohar. The legend is that Rabbi Shimon wanted the anniversary of his death to be a celebration  of his “fire” rather than a time for mourning.  At CRC we will gather around the firepit for teachings, stories and sings. Join us!

* Please bring your own camp-chairs or blankets for seating.
