Keeping Religious Communities Safe

Keeping Religious Communities Safe
Thursday, January 20, 7-8:30PM
On Zoom

Hate crimes continue to rise in the United States, and the St. Louis area is not immune. Increasingly, religious communities in our region are being targeted. Come hear how to mobilize against hate to protect our religiously diverse friends and neighbors.

This program will include stories from area religious leaders whose communities have confronted hateful acts. Law enforcement and security experts will speak about how to respond to and report threats of hate-based violence and share how to lawfully respond to protect houses of worship.

Speakers:

Rabbi Susan Talve, Central Reform Congregation
Rev. Rodrick Burton, New Northside Missionary Baptist Church
Rev. Jim Poinsett, Interfaith Partnership of Greater St. Louis
Scott Biondo, Jewish Federation of St. Louis
Richard Quinn, Special Agent in Charge FBI St. Louis Division
