Our Sukkah was filled with warmth and connection on October 11 as CRC welcomed new and prospective members for a beautiful brunch following Shabbat services. Guests lingered long after the meal, sharing stories and laughter under the autumn sky. The delicious spread—prepared with love by Marcia Mermelstein—made the morning even more special. In true CRC spirit, nothing went to waste; our Mitzvah Corps shared the leftovers with several members, including the family of our recently passed member, Miriam Raskin (z”l), as they sat shiva.
Later that evening, our Young Adults gathered at the Bogards’ Sukkah for a lively potluck and bonfire. The night was full of good food, and new connections, as many first-time attendees joined our 20s and 30s regulars to celebrate community and joy beneath the stars.
From new faces to familiar friends, these Sukkot gatherings captured what makes our Sukkat Shalom so special—a place where everyone belongs, and where care for one another continues long after the celebration ends.
