Last week, CRC volunteers prepared 25 family-style meals of Italian pasta salad and garlic bread for our neighbors served by 314 Oasis and Gateway 180.
314 Oasis was created in the aftermath of the May 16 tornado to provide accessible resources, meals, and community care for residents impacted by the storm. Gateway 180 supports individuals and families experiencing homelessness as they work toward stability and permanent housing.
As tornado recovery continues and many of our neighbors face ongoing food and housing insecurity, these meals are a meaningful reminder that community care takes many forms. We are grateful to everyone who gave their time and energy to help provide nourishment, comfort, and connection.
Together, we continue to show up for our neighbors—one meal, one act of kindness, and one community at a time.
