a Jewish presence in the City of St. Louis

a place for everyone

Whether you call them “sages” or “elders,” older adults are an active and integral part of CRC’s community. CRC offers many great opportunities for involvement to those who are looking to build new relationships or simply give back to the community after retirement:

Shabbat, holidays, and religious events offer great opportunities to celebrate our annual milestones in community. Many programs are followed by an Oneg, a chance to meet and visit with other members over a nosh.

Adult Education programs are offered one weekdays, evenings, and weekends to fit different schedules. “Looking Back,” an eclectic class exploring all aspects of Jewish history, meets Fridays at noon, and Torah study meets Fridays at 2pm and Saturdays at 8:45 am. “Lunch and Learn With a Rabbi” meets after Shabbat services on the first Saturday of each month. Other classes, including Adult Hebrew and our popular “University Series,” meet on weeknights throughout the year. And of course, our fabulous retreats – Congregational, Men’s, Women’s, and Couples – offer wonderful opportunities to learn and grow with other CRC members.

Each Monday afternoon, the living room in our building is brightened by the CRC Mah Jongg group. They are often looking for new players – just ask!
