CRC is participating in a new dialogue group which meets on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm. The meetings are led by Dr. Waheed Rana of the Islamic Foundation, Sister Carla Mae Streeter, Rabbi Susan Talve and other members of the clergy. Our mission is to model how to live together in harmony through courageous conversations and the study of each others texts and the experience of each others traditions.
Forty people braved a ten inch snowfall to participate in our inaugural meeting in which we observed the Jewish holiday of Tu BiSh'vat and studied the nature rituals of the various faiths' traditions. Subsequent meetings have discussed other holidays and topics such as fasting, which play different roles in our different traditions.
