Food Pantry & Clothing Closet The work of tzedakkah (righteous sharing) will yield shalom for all. --Isaiah CRC reaches out to its neighbors in need, through the Jewish Food Pantry and through our Tikkun Closet. The Jewish Food Pantry operates a satellite site at CRC. On the second Wednesday of every month, food is distributed to families in the community. CRC collects donations for Jewish Food Pantry clients through our Meal-a-Month program. The Tikkun Closet is available to everyone, and is located at the main entrance of the building. People are free to come and take as they need, anytime the building is open. The Tikkun Closet offers clothes, ready-to-eat food, and other items donated by CRC members. If you would like to make donations to either of these outreach programs, we ask the following: Clothing: All clothing should be clean and brought on hangers. We are always in need of children's and men's clothing, especially. Food: Only non-perishable food items may be donated. Tikkun Closet donations may be made during regular office hours, 9-5, Mon.- Fri. Donations for the St. Louis Jewish Food Pantry can be made any time the building is open - simply put the items in the bin located along the "picture wall." For suggestions on Food Pantry donations, click here to read about CRC's Meal a Month program. Other Items: We accept items such as gently used toys in the Tikkun Closet. To find out whether we can accept the items you have to donate, please call our office before bringing in the items. You can call 314-361-3919. |
