Central Reform Congregation

Year of Living Responsibly

CRC's Year of Living Responsibility program provides monthly service activities geared to CRC families and friends.  The goal of YOLR is to involve children at a young age in acts of Tzedakah.

Our projects have been varied and geared to the interests of our members and the mission of CRC.  Some of our past projects have included:

  • Visiting residents of a nearby nursing home
  • Preparing and serving meals at the Trinity Episcopal Soup Kitchen
  • Baking desserts for the CRC Mitzvah Corps
  • Making stuffed animals at Build-a-Bear Workshop for patients at Children's Hospital
  • Serving breakfast at Ronald McDonald House

YOLR is expanding to include activities geared toward youth in all age groups.

This summer, our middle schoolers will volunteer in monthly Tzedakah projects, including taking inventory of items for the August Back-to-School Store and holding a bake sale for Darfur.
