a Jewish presence in the City of St. Louis
social responsibility
Every June, CRC joins more than a dozen other Jewish congregations and organizations to participate in Pride Fest, to demonstrate our commitment to full inclusion and equality for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
We staff a booth at the Festival, held the last Saturday and Sunday in June, where we distribute information about our inclusive communities and create a community display of diversity. For the past two years, visitors to our booth have had an opportunity to decorate colored leaves for a Diversity Tree of Life.
We also march together in the Pride parade, behind a "St. Louis Jewish Communities" banner. In 2012, more than 150 individuals marched together under a giant rainbow tent, representing our commitment to keeping our tents open and inclusive to all.
Please plan to join us for next year's Pride Fest and Pride Parade! It's always a great opportunity to come together and have fun while promoting a message of diversity, equality and inclusion. The parade is family-friendly and less than a mile long, making it a great way to get involved.
