2009-2010 Opportunities to Volunteer with CRC at the Juvenile Detention Center!

CRC is continuing to grow our partnership with the St. Louis Juvenile Detention Center, less than 10 minutes from CRC. In partnership with the wonderful Detention Center staff, we are working to make a difference for youth at a critical time in their lives.

Below are 2009-2010 volunteer opportunities at the Detention Center. These programs have been chosen by CRC volunteers and Detention Center staff to meet the specific needs of Detention Center students.

All of these programs are "one time" programs with no experience required - a great opportunity for anyone who wants to make a difference but can't commit to a regular volunteer opportunity. You'll always be with experienced CRC volunteers and Detention Center staff.

Volunteer Opportunities 2009-2010

Tuesday, December 8, 6:00-8:00 pm:
Finding & Applying for Your First Job
We've got the program designed and experienced volunteers to run this highly-demanded program, but we need YOU to make the program successful!

Friday, December 25, 3:30-5:00 pm:
Christmas Party
The Detention Center has asked for CRC members to come provide a light Christmas party for teens who can't be with their families on the holiday. If you don't have anything to do on Christmas, can you make a difference that day for a teen?

Wednesday, January 20, 6:00-8:00 pm:
Finding & Applying for Your First Job

Monday, February 15, 10 am – 12 noon:
Enrichment Program TBD (Day off school)

Tuesday, April 27, 6:00-8:00 pm:
Know Your Legal Rights (Lawyers needed!)
