Youth : Teen Programs

Teen Programs meet twice a month on Sunday mornings from10a.m-noon. 7th graders learn to put the mitzvah in B’nai Mitzvah to help create peace and justice in the world. 8th graders attend The American Jewish Experience, where they learn a little cooking, theater, literature, art, history, and Majongg. 9th graders Celebrate Diversity by learning about different religions and what happens when diversity is not appreciated. They culminate their year with a trip to Washington, DC and the National Holocaust Museum. Confirmation, 10th grade, creates their own curriculum based on questions and issues developed by the students. The Confirmation program concludes with a trip to Jewish New York and a Confirmation service.
