INTERFAITH 101

NEW SERIES BEGINS
SEPTEMBER 21, 2008

Please join us for a series of informative interfaith workshops, including time for discussion and getting to know each other. We will meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month beginning September 21, from noon-2:00pm @ CRC. This series will be conducted by Rabbi Susan, Rabbi Randy, and Maggie Duwe.

The topics will include:

September 21 - What does my religion mean to me? Why is religion important in my life? Why is religion important in our life as a couple?

October 12 - Holidays and the December Dilemma. How do we do and respect each other’s holidays throughout the year? And specifically for this season, how do we honor both Hanukkah and Christmas?

November 16 - The “C” word. What about children?

December 21 - Lifecycle events. How do we commemorate and honor our own wedding, births of our children, coming of age, and death, mourning, and burial?

January 16 - (Friday night) Shared Shabbat Dinner. We will share a Shabbat Dinner together at CRC and explore the questions: How do we celebrate Shabbat in a way that includes the partner of another faith and wisdom and words from other paths? How do we make Shabbat meaningful for our family?

February 15 - A panel of interfaith couples who have been living these issues. They will tell their stories and answer questions.
