Eyn Kemach Eyn Torah: Without Bread there is no "Torah"

Once again our Core Values are calling us to respond in holy ways to the challenges in our path and living in a Caring Community can provide us with the opportunities to make a real difference in our members lives.

Tradition teaches us that without "bread", the ability to feed ourselves and our families, there will be no "torah", the study and action needed to do the work of tikkun. Providing jobs is among the highest of the mitzvoth because we help people become more independent and they, in turn, are there to help others. Recent layoffs and downsizing have hit many communities hard. Ours is no exception. My resume file is full of wonderful qualified people looking for work. We are hoping with the help of our website to network people in search of jobs to those who have or know of opportunities for employment. I believe that making these connections will bring more "torah" to us all.
