B'NAI MITZVAH SIDDUR PREPARATION

NOTE TO MAC USERS: Some have had success downloading the fonts below. Others have not. If you are unable to download the FrankRuhl font below, and the hebrew in the siddur is gobblety--gook, go ahead and finish your siddur by adding quotes and art (if you so choose), then e-mail your siddur saved in RTF (Rich Text Format) to Connie Joseph at connie@centralreform.org and she will ensure that your spacing is correct. (If you select an outside printer, she will provide to you a copy of your siddur saved as a .pdf.) Confused? Call Connie at (314) 361-1564 ext. 100.

Download the fonts first to your PC:

  1.  Double click MY COMPUTER.

  2.  Double click on the C: DRIVE.

  3.  Create a new folder named SIDDUR FONTS.

  4.  Returning to this web page, right click on the following

       3 files and choose SAVE TARGET AS. Save these to your

       C: DRIVE in SIDDUR FONTS.

FRANRDB_.TTF

FRANRLD_.TTF

Add the above files (Hebrew fonts) to your computer and you will see the Hebrew when you open the siddur. Please follow the instructions below.

To add a new font to your PC:

  1.  Go to START; then CONTROL PANEL

  2.  Double click on the FONTS folder

  3.  On the FILE menu, click INSTALL NEW FONT

  4.  In DRIVES, click C:

  5.  In FOLDERS, double-click SIDDUR FONTS.

  6.  To a dd all of the listed fonts, click SELECT ALL,

       and then click OK.

You are now ready to download and open the siddur on your PC or MAC:

  1. Right click the appropriate file below and choose SAVE AS.
     (Select a folder on your computer.)

  2. To open the siddur, go to the folder you selected and

      double-click on BM Siddur 2009 or BM Siddur 2009 -

      Havdalah. Do you see Hebrew? If not, repeat the steps

      above to download and add the Hebrew font. If you

      continue to have problems, please contact Connie Joseph

      at (314) 361-1564 ext. 100.
