Social Responsibility Circle Chooses Focus Issues

CRC’s Social Responsibility Circle met on October 21 and has chosen to focus on four issues:

  • Civil Rights, including Reproductive Rights, LGBT Rights, and Separation of Church and State
  • Poverty, including Housing and Hunger
  • Race Relations and Racial Equality
  • Darfur

Circle members chose to focus on these issues for two primary reasons: because many CRC members selected these issues on the Tikkun Olam Survey, and because of CRC’s history of working on these issues.  The Circle will consider program ideas related to these issues at their next meeting on November 18.

The Circle will also continue to consider proposals for social responsibility projects related to other issues as they arise.  To submit an idea for a project, please contact Jen Bersdale at Jennifer@centralreform.org or 314.361.1564 ext. 116.  Please include as much information about the project as possible, in order to allow the Circle to determine which projects are the best fit for CRC’s members.
