CRC members had a great time in the 2008 Pride Parade.  Join us this year!

Join CRC at Pride Fest!

Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28

June is Pride Month for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. During the last weekend in June, the community comes together for Pride Fest, a festival in Tower Grove Park with a parade on Sunday.

CRC will once again march in the Pride Fest parade and staff a booth at the festival. This year, we will be marching as part of a large, interfaith, "Faith Aloud" contingent comprised of numerous LGBT-friendly congregations of different faiths.  Our presence at Pride Fest signals that there are affirming, accepting faith communities in St. Louis.

Volunteers Needed!
There are two exciting ways to participate

  1. March with CRC in the parade. The parade begins at noon on Sunday, June 28, and we will line up around 11 am. We’ll be marching with Metropolitan Community Church (MCC), Faith Aloud, and other LGBT-friendly congregations and organizations. The parade is great fun, is less than a mile long, and is appropriate for all ages.
  2. Help staff the CRC booth at Pride Fest. We will need volunteers to take shifts for 2-3 hours on both Saturday and Sunday, between 11 am – 7 pm. We’ll be spreading an interfaith message of diversity and acceptance, signing people up for Missouri Health Care for All, and offering information about CRC to interested people.
