The Healthcare Tikkun Olam Team spent the first several months of 2008 pursuing legislative advocacy in the Missouri General Assembly.  CRC played an important role as a faith voice in a broader coalition working to expand healthcare access for low-income Missourians by expanding Medicaid and funding dental and vision care for Missouri Medicaid recipients.  Although these issues did not pass this spring, our efforts impacted the process and demonstrated to our elected officials that healthcare is a priority for the community.

Join us in June to discuss what worked and what didn't in our advocacy efforts this spring.  Then, we'll discuss our options for moving forward as a Team and select our next project.  New members are always welcome!
