Volunteers needed
for Back-to-School! Store™ at CRC™

The National Council of Jewish Women-St. Louis Section will assist 875 unde-served, low income elementary school children prepare for the beginning of the school year with new clothes, school supplies and personal care items at the 8th annual Back-to-School! Store™ Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Central Reform Congregation. For many children, looking good and feeling good is essential to academic success. By providing these children with new shoes, clothes, winter coats as well as notebooks, pencils and rulers, the Back-to-School! Store™ will help hundreds of students return to school ready to learn.


Volunteers—women and men 18 and older—are needed in all areas to help send the children back to school with new clothing and school supplies and eager to learn! Teens are needed for set-up and break-down days.


Volunteers needed for:

Store set up – Monday, July 21- Thursday, July 24
1st shift: 9:30 a.m.-12;
2nd shift 1:00-3:30 p.m.

Event Day – Sunday, July 27
1st shift: 8:00-12
2nd shift: 11:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
3rd shift: 2:30-6:00 p.m.

Store break down – Tuesday, July 29 – Thursday, July 31
1st shift 9:30 a.m.-12
2nd shift: 1:00-3:30 p.m.

Lunch will be provided for all-day volunteers and those working two shifts on event day.

Volunteer jobs include:
• Personal shopper – help kids choose their new clothes and supplies
• Special skill – expertise in foreign language, sign language, shoe fitting, coat
fitting or working with disabled children
• Restocking clothing and school supplies
• Dressing room assistance
